Gagan Narang

Gagan Narang is an Indian shooter, in Air rifle shooting, supported by the Olympic Gold Quest. He was the first Indian to qualify for the London Olympics. He won the Bronze Medal in the Men's 10 m Air Rifle Event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London with a final score of 701.1 on 30 July 2012.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Ten spectacular feats of Gagan Narang )
==Early life and background==

He was born in Chennai on 6 May 1983 in a Punjabi Arora family.He is of Punjabi origin though his fore-fathers moved out of Punjab long ago and his grandparents belonged to Samalkha in Village Shimla Gujran, Panipat district in Haryana(then Punjab). His grandfather then moved from Panipat to Hyderabad. His parents are Bhimsen Narang and Amarjit. Though Gagan Narang was born in Chennai, he was raised in Hyderabad. He later studied in Bhavan's Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya (BSRKV), and also at Gitanjali Senior School, Begumpet. He touched the gun for the first time at his age of six for shooting down balloons at Chennai Marina Beach carnival. His prowess at shooting was well brought out at that age which he sharpened later..
